Not long ago I posted my admiration of Maira Kalman’s work for the Strunk and White book: Elements of Style. Kalman has a new book out called The Principles of Uncertainty. I want to get it.
Perhaps I’ll order it from Amazon. You can too (hence the link).
I created a new Flickr collection for the patterns I’ve been working on. Here it is. Thank you so much Erin and Anna for the feedback so far, it’s so so valuable to me and so nice of you to give. Both Erin and Anna liked this one the best:
Sam! This is INCREDIBLE!! WOW! For some reason Gmail isn’t working right now (I have NO idea why) so hopefully my email to you will go through sometime tonight. Until then, great work and great blog!
Best,
Michelle.
This pattern is beautiful – I’m immediately imagining it on various cloths, from slippery light weights to heavy barkcloth. I’m off to check your flickr set now, but just wanted to say that first.
Michelle,
Thank you so so very much for getting back to me! I so appreciate it. I’ll check gmail for a message. In the mean time, I need to scour your beautiful work and blog!
Jesse,
Oh thank you so much!!! I’m so glad you like it! You’re acetate cut is mind blowing. Wow!
Yippee, two artists I do admire and love reading my blog! You’ve both made my day!
