I was really excited to contribute to the first edition of Truant Magazine. Anything Erin Loechner of Design For Mankind does is wonderful. I adore her. Truant is an extension of Mankind Mag and is edited and chief-ed by Jessica of Shiny Squirrel blog/shop.

Truant Magazine’s debut issue showcases a collection of shoppes, eateries, entertainment venues and neighborhoods curated by local creatives in New York (I contributed illustration some of which you see above and my fav New York spots so look for my pages!). In addition, the travel magazine will feature walking tours of some of New York City’s hidden gems. It’s only $2 to download. Contributors include Abbey, Joanna, Kate, Christine, Anna + Sean, and many more. Other cities will follow and a holiday guide will be coming out soon too.
