Daniel Zvereff was born in San Francisco and raised in Portland Oregon. He spent a lot of his youth traveling and skateboarding, drawing journals, and having fun. When he was 22 he took a job in New York City and promptly moved nearby in New Jersey where he drinks the tap water. Over the last year he fell in love with photography, and has found travel as a means to remain inspired to live to the fullest. He likes to draw too. He too was one of my contributors in the Love book. I found him through Faesthetic. We both had work in issue #10. I’m so happy to have discovered Dan’s work. He’s awesome.

Here’s my little interview with Dan:

When you were a kid what were your artistic inspirations?

My Mother- She would make me all these incredible puppets, sew them from scratch, and use these awesome scrap fabrics/old clothing from the 80s. The stories of Dr Suess, and the original Peter Pan Disney film.

What are your main inspirations now?

Skateboarding, New York City, Exploring, Travel, Photography, my friends, and all the incredible things people create.

What has been your favorite project to date?

My Sculpey creatures.

What would your dream project be?

travel the world, make a book of illustrations/photos about the journey.

Besides paper what other surface would you most like to see your work printed on?

I love toys.
