Forest green holiday get up + DIY nail art

This forest green Issa dress with that sinuey pattern screams to me. I would love to wear those DVF platform pumps too but know that I’d be barefoot at the party before the night was out. I definitely need a lower heel but they look killer no?

Have any of you ever tried DIY nail designs? I have a pack of those glittery decals sitting on my shelf since the summer. I just have not gotten around to trying them out. I think I may get a nail brush though and test some designs out for fun this winter. I like the tutorial below from Refinery 29.
