Summer Essentials/ My R29 Summer Wish List

R29 Summer Essentials look

One of my favorite wardrobe tricks is to have items that transition effortlessly from day to night. This trick is so essential during the hot summer months. I want to be able to switch gears on a dime from a day in the park or museum to a dinner out on the town and a movie or rooftop party. Refinery 29 has a great pinboard with summer essentials. I culled my favorite and most transitional pieces. Make your own board titled “Refinery 29 Summer Essentials” and follow these simple rules to win this ah-mazing/ chic Celine bag…umm…yes please!

I put together  a look I’d love to be caught in using the R29 board as my library of cool:

  1. Linen keepsake tee
  2. Old school Cali glasses
  3. Torquoise ribbon necklace
  4. Marla trousers (perfectly slouchy cool for a day out and about and an evening on the town. I’d just switch my shoes from these to the Pierre Hardy’s below)
  5. Pierre Hardy platform sandals
  6. Chloe wallet
  7. Jil Sander structured bag (could hold everything including to shoes and a silky blouse for evening to fancify the whole look)

While you are poking around on R29, check out my colorful limited edition prints!

I was thrilled when Refinery 29 Reserve asked me to create some limited edition prints for their newly revamped shop. The shop looks amazingly fresh and refined. We’re offering editions of 20 on each of the summery/vibrant prints. I even created a custom Refinery 29 parade girl print! Check the sale out for the next couple of days! Hope you find something your wall will like. Remember that McQueen shoe from this series? Oh and we literally just walked in the door from a little summer vacation at the North Fork. More on that later.

Red, White & Blue

Happy 4th of July everyone! We’re in the North Fork. I don’t know what we’re doing because I’m writing this in the past from when you are reading it. I’m hoping we’ll be eating corn on the cob on a little deck overlooking the bay and perhaps see some fireworks or at least hear them off on the distance while the stars twinkle above our eyes.
