I was happy to contribute to a new Chronicle Book titled You Are So Loved. My lettering is in great company with a bevy of amazing illustrators with sweet and loving sentiments.

Chronicle blog asked me to explain mine. Here are my thoughts:

Like a song, life is short and full of highs and lows. Knowing this can remind all of us to relish every moment and sing joyfully at the top of our lungs.

I feel that even more now during the dreadful aftermath of hurricane Sandy. We were so very lucky to simply deal with no water or power for the week. We had each other, a roof over our heads and when it was over we had other parts of the city to go to get what we needed.
