Conde Nast Traveler: Anatomy of the ‘Voyages’ logo

I recently had the pleasure of working on a logo for Conde Nast Traveler “Voyages”. They launched a series of once in a lifetime itineraries and guides on their site and in the magazine. The final logo includes a painted “V” but we did a number of iterations to get there if you’d like to see some, after the jump.

I love seeing all these iterations! It would be tough to choose. The blue one is great too, as well the variety of V’s.

I love seeing the process! The blue one is really beautiful. This is a strange observation, but I love how so much of your work has this beautiful “border” around the watercolor, almost like it has edges. The contrast is awesome. I only get that with happy accidents but I can’t seem to master it whenever I want it!

    Hi Haley,
Keep trying different types of paper and different amounts of water….
    You’ll get it!
