Over the weekend photographer, Nick Steever came over to take my author photo and some family photos. A Mother is a Story is coming out this April so I needed some good shots around for potential press. Of course Vivian was in a fussy mood, and Henry doesn’t like to sit still, and Dave and I feel awkward in front of the camera. Despite all that, Nick is totally warm and funny and made us all feel at ease. He kept everything totally natural and relaxed. It’s magical how all of his photos are imbued with light. I love his work and was honored to have him take these shots for us.
