Lodis Opera Slim Purse Wallet and Urban Outfitters Hinge Wallet

Lodis wallet and Urban Outfitters wallet post

I can vouch for the Lodis wallet ($90 at Amazon & $115 at ebags). I fell in love with it when I first laid eyes on it about 5 years ago. I’m still using it (same as the red one above only pink). I don’t really carry around little bags so I’m a good candidate for this one. If you are a clutch carrier this might be superfluous. I think it’s great as a carry alone or as an everyday wallet. As you can see, it has all the compartments you need.

The Urban Outfitters one is way cheaper ($20) & still very cool (I like its shiny finish). I can’t vouch for its quality though. I think their names are telling. Lodis is certainly going for ‘sophisticated’ using words like “opera” and “slim”. Urban outfitters refers to its mechanics “hinge”. Either way, both are sleek, functional and timeless.

Etsy’s items that sold within a day!

Top sellers on Etsy graph

I have a secret fantasy to start an Etsy shop. I even have a plan for what I’m going to make and sell (one that I’m not even close to setting in motion…I will though!).

My husband sent me this great link to Jared (who is apparently quite good at using a program written in Flash AS3…whatever that is).

He graphed (in this image) all the items that were featured on the front page of Etsy that then sold within the day. It was generated from data spanning the last two weeks of September 2007.

Wallpapers galore: craving the theoretical idea that I may someday have an apt. in Brooklyn

wallpaper I covet

My husband and I are a bundle of anxiety looking for a new home in Brooklyn. Every place we got to see has a catch. If we had our druthers we’d live in Park Slope Central in an 800 sq. ft. two bedroom with extra room. There’d be sun streaming in, high ceilings, the park across the street, the B train a block away and it would only cost a little. We’re not exactly having perfect luck on the hunt.

Anyway, I’m loving the idea that I can start thinking about decorating our very own (non rented) home someday in the foreseeable future. The idea of wallpaper in the entry way and hallway and painted walls everywhere else is quite appealing. I’m loving these patterns.

Moleskine Project

SKETCHBOOK-cupcake hat

I just submitted a little drawing I did (and once posted on Maquette) to Moleskine project. They posted it and selected it to be part of the favorite’s section. How nice. I think sketchbook drawing is where the imagination can run wild…or silly as it may be.
