Nina Braun part 2

Nina Braun

I am a big fan of Nina Braun’s work. She totally blows my mind. Here’s where I’ve posted about her before but it was not enough so I’m posting again.

“Nina Braun is immersed in an analogue world, where the obsession with material and her devotion to each individual object emerges from her very personal imagery.

Her approach to materials like wool and fabric are the base for her sometimes child-like and naive objects that result from an intensive working process”.

Parasol Magazine: Yasmine Surovec

Parasol Magazine

So excited to announce the launch of Parasol Magazine and blog. It’s a Design, art, and creative lifestyle magazine, um… my favorite things.

Yasmine Surovec of a print a day was getting up to 2 hours of sleep a night so she decided to launch, edit, and publish her own free downloadable magazine in addition to working as a surface pattern designer and blogging new designs daily on her fab blog. The first issue of Parasol is amazing. It’s full of fabulous art and interviews with some of my favorite artists including Christopher David Ryan and Jessica Gonacha.

I’m so happy and honored that Yasmine included an interview with me and her favorites of my surface pattern designs.

Check out the issue *for free* here. Did I mention it’s “FREE”?

Loxii wall graphics launch

Loxii Wall Graphics (sample of my designs)
I’m so excited to announce the launch of Loxii, a great new wall graphics company. I’m happy to be one of their artists. Already they are blasting onto the market place with write-ups all over the place. Here are a couple they pointed out to me that mention my designs, so that’s cool: i heart luxe, and Design Milk.

Anyway, check Loxii out and get some graphics to brighten up your space!

T-shirts: slouchy cool

t-shirt cool
cute t-shirt round-up

Guess I’m on a fashion posting kick this week.

Sometimes you just don’t feel like wearing a blouse. I found these cool t-shirt girls on the Sartorialist and Face Hunter.

I rounded up some nice tee’s for you to wear when an anti-blouse feeling strikes:

  1. Love shirt from Urban Outfitters
  2. Ice Cream shirt from Poketo
  3. Giraffe shirt from rainbow swirlz on etsy
  4. Octapus shirt also from rainbow swirlz on etsy

I love this t-shirt round-up on design work life. If it’s cold how about pairing your tee with a thin cardigan like this?
