Sketch Book Pages

I don’t always use an official sketchbook. Sometime I just do my drawings on bristol paper or aged newsprint with pen or watercolor and then scan and make them into vignettes, or do them all on one paper and arrange them into illustrations or patterns. Just thought it would be fun to show you some “raw” drawings. That’s what I call them before they morph into final pieces.

I updated the a drawing a day section of my site and put lots of drawings I’ve never shared. Trying to get little tasks like scanning work done before baby arrives. One week to go.

So lovely! Although I must say, they are super polished raw drawings you have there!
Do you draw in pencil and then ink up or is this this pen directly?

    take care,

these are straight pen…..but I look at reference while drawing most of the time. I do have lots of messy sketches too in pencil and pen and watercolor, sometime I will post them!!!

Wow! Beautiful sketches. I also love to draw but my sketching is not very good but I can paint the sketches quite well.
