Looking for a midcentury rocker

midcentury-chairs-2

I am obsessed with the idea of getting a nice rocking chair with a small footprint to replace the Ikea one we bought for me to feed the baby in. We were in a rush and just wanted one but it’s too big for our space so we’re going to try to sell it locally so I can buy a new one. I’d love to find a real vintage one but Urban Outfitters has a good one that has cushions begging to be reupholstered. Here’s a print of mine. I guess it’s an homage to midcentury chairs.

That Urban Outfitters rocker is RAD! A bit expensive to have to reupholster it though. I’m on the search for a mid-century rocker as well! I’ll check back about your progress.

I already have the fabric made…check a few posts back for my faux cable knit. I just take the cushions to a tailor who does it. I really want to get the rocker soon but the urban price is similar to why I imagine a vintage one would be so I might hold off for a little while. Good luck on your hunt too!

Oh yeah! I remember seeing that post. The faux cable knit doesn’t look faux at all! Gorgeous. Yeah, I’d keep my eyes peeled for a vintage one. It’s likely you could get one for less than $300.
