I love Letters of Note blog where you get a peek into the writing and minds of interesting and famous people. My favorite is this letter from Elizabeth Taylor to Andy Warhol regarding his portrait of her. Here’s the transcript:

I’m starting to feel that autumn nip in the air. Nothing seems more comfy and cozy than a fisherman’s sweater and some moccasins.
A favorite artist of mine, Canada based Takashi Iwasaki is showing some work in a New York group show, Full Fathom Five.
Opening reception: Thursday, November 3, 6pm – 8pm (through December 23) at Jenkins Johnson Gallery (521 W 26th Street, 5th floor, NYC).
Today is my birthday. It’s sad. I miss my dad. My family would always go apple picking to celebrate. Still, I’m so lucky to have loved ones around me:
My mom made me cupcakes last weekend, my sister in law sent over more cupcakes yesterday, my friend Robyn came to visit from LA, I went out for cheese and wine with my oldest and best friends earlier this week, my in laws came over last night and Henry called his grandpa “beepa” and started hysterically laughing which was the best gift of all! Tonight my husband and I are going to Henry’s school for curriculum night and then we’ll take a stroll and have a nice dinner at our favorite local restaurant.
