Faesthetic Magazine Issue #10 “Scams & Deceit”: My deceitful patterns

Faesthetic -Scams & Deceit- Issue 10
Deceit pattern 3 for Faesthetic but recolored...
Faesthetic Magazine issue #10 just arrived (curated by the talented Dustin Hostetler)! Look my hand lettering is on their info page…I just noticed. The theme given all of the contributing artists was “scams and deceit”. In the mag only 3 colors are used: black, white, and yellow. I souped them up for my site and the trade show I’m about to do. I love the Mike Perry cover. Get your copy here…quick, they’re limited edition.

New limited edition giclée prints on etsy in time for Valentine’s Day!

shop announcement (etsy)

I just re-opened my etsy shop in time for you Valentine’s early birds. The shop features limited edition giclée prints on heavy matte photo paper, printed with archival inks. I really wanted to keep the price point low, so all prints are only $25! They will be featured as part of Poppytalk Handmade Market starting on January 12th. Don’t worry I’ll remind you.

My other prints are on sale at the Little Paper Planes and Shiny Squirrel shops.

Have a splendid day dear readers! Is it tough being back at work or what?

Patterned products: My Hallmark card and starlet cushion

I can’t express how fun it is for me to see my designs on real life surfaces. I just received my package of sample Hallmark cards. They licensed a design last May. It’ll be on the market soon. It’s a “happy birthday sis” card with embossed lacy flower and a scalloped edge.

I also had some samples made of my starlet pattern. Spoonflower printed up a nice run for me to make into cushions for my chair but I wanted to show something with that same design for the trade show I’m doing in a week! So I had some purses and a throw cushion made.

I have surface patterns on the brain this week so expect a sneak peek at lots of new work!

Hope you all had a lovely vacation. XO.

Oh here’s another glorious example of geeky glasses. I’m coveting them so badly. I love this photo. She looks so fabulous. (Again) I found it on vi.sualize.us via strawapple on livejournal. Here’s the definition of Geek Chic on Wikipedia.

I hope you had a splendid new years celebration. I look forward to getting back to regular posting on Monday as I near my surface pattern tradeshow. I’ll be posting some of my new work. So stay tuned.

I’ll try to stop posting pictures of girls in glasses, really I will. Maybe just a couple more, but not for a while. Back to art and design, I swear.
